Classes will be held on Fridays. Schedule will be provided as soon as available.

Tuition is $750.00 for Sanilac County Residents and $925.00 for out of Sanilac County Residents and does not include the cost of textbooks and education materials. Grant money is available through MiREMS in the amount of $700.00 per student. For eligibility, please read and complete the contract below and turn these forms into the SMCA office no later than the first day of class. This document is mandatory to be awarded the grant funding.

AEMT Winter Course content opens in January of 2025. This course is open for enrollment and the enrollment period will close on 12/13/2024. Each potential student will have a seat secured with the purchase of the education materials in the amount of $443.96, this in non refundable after 12/15/2024. In the event that there is not a minimum of 6 students enrolled, the course will be cancelled on 12/13/2024 and each student will receive the deposit back in full. Anyone that would like to participate in the course and has missed the enrollment period will be provided with the link to obtain education materials prior to the start of the class.

The following (4) topics of pre-course work is found on MI-Train. You will need to create an account on MI-Train, and for each topic, you must choose that you want EMS credits to receive the completion certificate. NOTE: please hand in your completion certificates to your instructor on the first day of class. The links are found next to the class.

Candidates are required to submit the following records

Negative 2 step TB test within 1 year or IGRA (Quantiferon Blood test)
Proof of immunity to MMR & Varicella (Titers required)
Proof of immunity to HepB (Titers required) or signed HepB declination, and any additional vaccinations that clinical sites require. Example (COVID 19 and Flu)
Physical (you must use the physical form that will be provided once you enroll.)
Urine Drug screen will be obtained prior to clinical time. (This will be arranged once class begins.)
Copy of High School Diploma or GED
Copy of Valid Drivers License.

Valid CPR certification that will remain current for the duration of the course.

Background check will be completed prior to Clinical shifts.

Valid EMT Basic License

Clinical Days will be scheduled on Fisdap.net (60hrs Total)
